The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards

Sue Monk Kidd called this book "mesmerizing" and so far I have not been disappointed. In fact, its magnetic pull is overcoming my very strong desire to clean the bathroom and sweep the kitchen floor.

That description of a books pull fits me perfectly sometimes. BTW, I haven't read any other Kingsolver books. I didn't respond immediately because I was thinking, "I should read some more because then I could recommend them. . ." But the housekeeping calls. Alas.

Hey Gina!

I really enjoyed the book. It was kind of slow at first and some parts I was very upset about it turning out a certain way- but a great read overall:) I'm glad you are enjoying it!

Is Sue Monk Kidd the one who wrote The Secret Life of Bees?

Yes. I haven't read it, but I've heard it's very good.
