Welcome to Virginia Party

Grandma and Grandpa made sure we felt welcomed to Virginia! They especially wanted to make sure Jackson would feel welcome, because he loved his house and his friends in Utah so much. In fact, Jackson was so looking forward to the party that Grandma and Grandpa Hill were going to throw for him, that when we would stop driving for the night, he would start crying and say, "No! We've got to keep drivin'" "We've got to go to grandma's house!" I don't know who was more hard core, him or his dad, but drive we did!
Here's him with the cake Grandma made for him. He LOOOOOOVES dora and diego.

Our friends Jason and Melissa hanging out with us.

Jason, learning his wii fit age.

Me, showing them how Guitar Hero is really done!

Moving Day!

We are here in VA! We are settling into our new place and making new friends. We are finding out where the stores are and finding where we like to shop. Kirtis is getting used to being the "new guy" again at work.
Basically life is good and we are getting used to everything here. We are right across the street from the playground and have a pool nearby. I am loving that!

Here are some pictures of our moving day. (Wed, July 9) We left so many wonderful friends in Utah! Jackson and his buddy Ben. Matchy matchy! We miss you Ben!
Me and my buddy Kristin. ( I can't get the dang picture to rotate... what is the deal?! Sorry about that)
Alex Polly and the gang! We miss you guys!

Fun Fourth!

For the fourth of July we headed down to Kirtis' brother's house in Pleasant Grove and spent the night on the third. Thursday morning we planned to wake up early to see the hot air balloon launch and see the Provo Freedom Festival Parade. Well, about 11:00 the night before, Kirtis and his brother started talking, and figured out they had better spend the night to stake out a place to watch the parade. ( I guess Provo is pretty crazy that way!)
So they took off and slept (well, didn't sleep much!) in the bed of Alex's truck, then woke up at 4:30 am to stake out their spots. (you weren't allowed to stake out spots until 5am). They had to throw a few punches, (JK) and got the police called on them (for real!) but it was all worth it for the fun day that we had! Thanks guys!

I love our country and I got teary eyed when this first balloon took off and let down the flag. We all stood and said the "Pledge of Allegiance".

Jackson's cute cousins. We will miss you guys!

Here's all of us watching the parade. I got to shake Governor Huntsman's hand, and Kirtis gave Glenn Beck a thumbs up, and he looked at us and gave one back. So fun!
Thanks babe for staying to claim our spot. We missed you at the balloon launch. We were so glad we could see Tammy too. We will miss her, but maybe she'll come out our way!

Thanks Polly for keeping Avery while we went to see the balloons. She will miss her aunt polly!

Fun week!

We had such a fun first week of July!
Tammy came to visit us on her way up to a job interview in Logan. We love when she comes to see us! She just plays and plays with Jackson, and he loves it! She is the cutest aunt.

On Thursday we went with Lynette, Madelyn and Ben to see the free Finding Nemo movie and then off to the Aviary. We didn't get to stay long, but hopefully we'll get to go back sometime. Jackson LOVES his friends, and so do I! I just wish we had more time to spend together before we leave!

Lazy blogging

Thanks to my friends for documenting Jackson's life for me, when I don't have much time right now! (Because we are packing up our house to leave Thursday morning!)
Click here and here to see what he's been doing. The little socialite.

Lunch with Friends. My baby is growing up!

Lunch at Pei Wei with College Girlfriends and their kids! Such a blast, we only wish all of us could have been there with us!
Avery's first time sitting in a restaurant high chair:

Okay, this baby is going to be crawling soon! Check this out!
