Okay, so I haven't really kept up with the weekly postings of new veggies, so this might be the bi-monthly veggie, or the once in a while veggie. But, just so you know we have been eating our greens! I loved hearing about what veggies everyone is eating. Anyway....
The featured veggie is:
You have to try these. Your kids might even like them. You might even like them. In just 1/2 cup there are 10 grams of protein. (That's a lot!)
Now, this is SUPER easy people. I bought these in the frozen "healthy" section of the grocery store. You can buy them in the pod or out of the pod, fresh or frozen. A lot of people like to buy them fresh in the pod as a snack item.
Anyway, here's what I did tonight:
Boiled for 3 minutes.
Drained, put back in the pot and sauted in olive oil, salt, garlic powder, pepper and italian seasoning for about 5 minutes. Done!
