I'm glad I came rather than just reading in reader for this one, because the pictures weren't there, and I thought it odd that you had started writing very sparse poetry without first mentioning that you were going to do so. Avery is an absolute doll face!

What a cutie! Just wanted to let you know I made spaghetti squash spaghetti last night and loved it. Thanks for doing it for your veggie of the week!

Can she be any cuter? Seriously. Avery has an angel face. Looks just like her mommy.

Thanks for the comment on my MADE blog.
Wow, your daughter is ADORABLE.
RE: a serger...I'm not really sure the ruffles would turn out as nice without a serger. The only option I can think of though is to zigzag stitch the edges of the ruffle, pulling the knit as you go. This will still make it "lettuce". And since it's knit, you don't need to worry about it fraying over time, as cotton would do.
Hope that makes sense :).
Good luck with your crafting!

She is so cute!! How are you! Jen says you are sowing? What's up with that? We miss you. We had dinner with Jen and Ike the other day. Wish you were here!
