I've got to do some back-blogging. I don't know how people stay caught up on their blogging. It seems to be feast or famine to me. Either NOTHING to blog about, or I'm way behind. :)

Anyway, Baltimore was an awesome place to take the kids! It was practically heaven for Jackson. He LOVES aquariums. LOVES them. Plus he loves boats and water. We stayed at a hotel near the harbor, and just walked. Everything was so close together that it made it easy. Plus, the weather was GREAT. A little chilly at first, then just perfect!
Here's our happy boy. He loves going places and seeing new things.

He was so excited to see a REAL anchor and had lots of questions about if the boats were going to move, or if their anchors were down or not.
Then, we saw THESE paddle boats. First of all, you have to know that Jackson's favorite color is green, second you must know that he LOVES dragons. (All he wanted from Santa was a dragon!) So these paddle boats were like a dream come true for him! They wouldn't let Avery on, so it was just Jackson and Daddy. I guess that dragon boat was a beast for one man to paddle! But Jackson was so happy!

Gorgeous. The Aquarium is behind them and also the submarine that we later toured.

"Steering The Chesapeake"

In front of the Submarine. Jackson loved those shark teeth!

Life on board. Don't tour this one if you are claustrophobic!

Of course, this little guy didn't mind. :)

Thanks for looking!
More to come tomorrow! (Hopefully!)

Happy Birthday Jackson!

We can't believe you're FOUR!
You are so big and independent and kind and fun.
We had so much fun at your party- watching you with your friends and seeing your face as you opened presents!
We love you buddy!

Triple Coupon High

$2.98 for all of these yogurts!
(way better than costco, baby!)

So Giant hasn't been my favorite store for coupons. Their a bit persnickity (how do you spell that? Or is it even a word?) when it comes to their coupon policies. But this week I got Five 6-packs Breyers Kids yogurts for 2.98. (about 60 cents each)
Jackson eats several yogurts a week- so this is perfect for us!

You can only use 5 of their triple coupon coupons at a time.
So I had to go back after lunch and get Dole frozen strawberries.
(3.50 each, 75 cents tripled = 2.25 off =1.25

Thanks Brooke, for getting me hooked on couponing.
It is worth it,
and it hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be. :)

A little house

3 houses.
3 bids.
3 lost.
We just want one little house.

It's proving to be harder than we thought.
We're going to take a little break from house hunting. After all, our lease isn't up till July.

Photographic Attempts: Part 3, Jackson and Avery

I promise this is the last of these! Hopefully the warm weather tomorrow will give us something more exciting to blog about soon!

The first picture- a decent one, before they got antsy.
Avery's got a white chocolate chip in her mouth- I had to bribe her to stay happy since I took her binky away!
This is them! Nuf said.

Here they are both staring at the white chocolate chip that I am holding up over my head. It's all about the bribery people.
Okay, they just want candy. Session over. :)

A New Gig

Well, my darling friend from elementary school, Bethany of Love, September, has asked me to help her with new etsy giveaway site.

I, of course, jumped at the chance!
She's been selling on etsy for over a year and already has developed so many relationships with customers and sellers. Plus, she sells the cutest stuff! I love her play stuff for kids.

The more I "surf around" on etsy, the more I am convinced that I may never go into a store for a gift again!
You can get nearly everything there.
(Tiny Pool Earrings from esdesigns)

(Cottage Zipper Pouch from isew)

And the best part is that it's unique,
handmade with love, and usually very affordable.

(Thumbtacks from fabricfarrago)

Anyway, I am excited to host giveaways and help promote many talented artisans and crafters through this venue.
So check out the new blog at

Did I mention you could find it here?

My photographic attempts, Part 2: Jackson

Since I had my whole "photo shoot" set up, I hurried and grabbed Jackson and the least wrinkly shirt I could find. The photo shoot started out pretty good.
Then I told him to keep smiling and this is what I got:
Which then turned into THIS:

He looks so grown up here:And I love the movement of this one:

I think "hands in pockets" makes little boys look so GQ!
