New York

We had the best time in NY last weekend. Kirtis and I went for our 5th Anniversary while gram watched the kids. It was such a nice break- and SO much fun.
We saw a show

and ate tons of pizza and cheesecake.

We saw the statue of liberty and Ellis Island.

We biked in central park, walked, explored, shopped, and ate and ate and ate.

It was my first time in New York and I LOVED it and I can't wait to go back!

Owie

Despite his great love for his baby sister, in a moment of weakness, brother pushed baby sister off the bed.

Recommendation

Last night I went to bed at 8:30 and slept till 8:30. I recommend this. Highly.
After I put the kids to bed, I climbed into my bed with conference on my ipod. I was out by the second talk!
I guess I was tired or something.

OOooops

Google readers- Sorry I accidentally posted on the wrong blog. For the contest go to www.etsyfix.blogspot.com.
Lots of love!

America the Beautiful

Right before I left for Houston, we hurried downtown so we could see the cherry blossoms.
I'm glad we did, because they were gone by the time I got back.
It was cold, but beautiful.
I love going downtown, even though last time we went I got towed! Bummer!

Easter

We had a happy Easter with more candy and toys than we needed.
The kids were happy. We were happy.
We ate ham and potatoes and searched for eggs.
I loved going to church and reflecting on the wondrous gift the Savior gave to all of us. Now that my dad is in heaven, it makes Easter more personal to me. I know that his spirit lives on, and that one day we will all be reunited, resurrected and able to continue the happiness that we have felt here on earth.

I've been in Houston...

....visiting my mom. And after the kids have gone to bed, we've been sewing our hearts out. Here's just one example:
FOUND: Old Frumpy Size 14 skirt.
NOW: Sassy size 6! I wanted a pencil skirt for the spring/summer. Here it is! It only took about 30 minutes!

Check out more of our transformations at my mom's blog. Found here.
